Assessments from Trove can be exported as a .docx file to be opened and edited in Microsoft Word (or then converted to Google Docs). This gives the user the flexibility to adjust text, fonts, graphics, sizing, etc.
To export an assessment, navigate to the assessment and select to open it. Once viewing the assessment, select the download icon at the top of the screen:
Select DOCX from the dropdown menu:
Use the toggle feature to turn “ON” any additional settings you would like to apply to the exported document. Then select “Download.”
A pop-up box will indicate the download is being generated:
Once finished, a “Download File” button will appear. Select the button to download the file.
The exported file will download to the device’s download file.
The file should be opened in Microsoft Word (or converted to a Google Doc). Once open, the file’s content can be edited by simply typing or interacting with the document as one would normally edit a document (change fonts, add questions, delete items, etc.).
If formatting/grid lines are present, these can be turned off by clicking on an individual question, then on Table Layout (top of screen), and then on View Gridlines.
It is important to note that having the gridlines visible when editing a document is very helpful. The questions are exported into a table format, so seeing the gridlines helps the user best place and format new content and adjust current assessment question content. The gridlines will not print regardless of whether or not they are visible on the screen.
Once editing is completed, the document can be printed from Word (or Docs) or saved for later use.
