# Unlock CCO Quizzes and Tests     *Beginning October 31, 2026*

To provide accountability, all Christian Classroom Online course quizzes and tests are locked by default. CCO course teachers/facilitators unlock the assessment by selecting a day and time the assessment is unlocked, a day and time the assessment is relocked, and which students should have access. Selected students will have access to the assessment only during that timeframe.

To unlock an assessment, the course teacher/facilitator should access the course in his/her teacher library. From the teacher library, select Filter to navigate to the individual CCO course.

Select CCO Courses from the filter options, and then select the specific CCO course.

Once the course appears, select to Open the course.

Navigate to the specific day that has a quiz or a test. A lock icon will indicate that an assessment on that day is a locked assessment.

Note: Only quizzes and tests are locked. Video, handouts, and other assignments, such as workbook pages, are not locked, even if they are on that same day.

Select the lock icon. The assignment box will appear. Select +Add Assignee Group.

Select the appropriate class or group.

Select students to deselect any students who should not have the assessment unlocked during this timeframe.

Select the date and time when the assessment should become available and should relock.

Indicate if the assessment should be available after the due date, meaning it can still be completed even though it is late.

Select Assign.

During the selected timeframe, students will be able to select the quiz or test and complete it. Outside that timeframe, students will receive a message that the assessment is not available.

CCO course teachers/facilitators can at any time add additional assignee groups (such as for a different test day) by clicking on the lock icon and then selecting +Add Assignee Group to add another group with a separate availability timeframe. In addition, previously created assignee groups can be edited by selecting the pencil (edit) icon.

As a reminder, CCO course facilitators can access an overview of each day’s lessons, including where tests and quizzes are placed throughout the course, by accessing the **Facilitator Packet: Video Lesson Guide**. The Facilitator Packet materials can be located in the Trove library either by searching “Facilitator Packet” or by using the filter and navigating to General Resources for the course. For example:
