Students can find assessments that are due, missed, submitted, and graded - all on the assessment dashboard.

All teachers who are Trove users have access to digital copies of all books associated with their courses, including teacher editions, student editions, activity manuals, and lab manuals. Teacher copies of eTexts are found in the library and will be the first visible resources to appear. NOTE: Teacher copies of eTexts are not shareable with students.

Classes can be manually added to Trove by individual class or by multiple classes through a bulk upload. NOTE:  If you are planning to use an integration for rostering, classes should not be created manually.  The integration will establish classes.  If classes are created manually and then an integration is used for rostering, double classes will be created in Trove, and the manually created classes will not be used.  If you are planning to use an integration, you will want to establish the integration first.

Playlists can be shared between Trove users in a school.

eTexts are delivered to the Trove administrator account upon purchase.   From there, the Trove administrator assigns them to the teacher, and the teacher assigns them to the students.  eTexts in Trove are one per student. NOTE:  Student accounts remain inactive until content is assigned to them.  So while a student login may have been created, the student will not be able to log in until an eText or an eAssessment has been shared with him/her. UNDISTRIBUTE AN eTEXT To undistribute - or unassign - an eText or eAssessment that has been distributed to a student, the teacher should select “Share History” from the Library tab. There the teacher will see a list of all purchased student digital items that have been shared. By clicking on the “Assigned to” icon for each item, the teacher can see which students have received the item. To unassign an eText or eAssessment, click “Unassign” at

Teachers can customize assessments created by BJU Press - including the questions from books and eAssessments. When schools purchase eTexts for students and assign them to the appropriate teacher for distribution, teachers get digital copies of the questions from that book. When schools purchase eAssessments for students and assign them to the appropriate teacher, teachers get digital copies of the questions found in our printed assessment packets. (NOTE: Just like digital books are distributed to students to make that teacher/student connection in Trove, eAssessments also have an item that must be shared with students to make that teacher/student connection in Trove.  Be sure to watch the video “Distribute eAssessments to Students.”)

Teachers can add hints to help themselves while grading or to help students during an assessment.

Assessments can be created by selecting questions from a test bank provided with the teacher resources. NOTE: When using the test bank filters, select the fewest and most specific filters. Too many filters can actually filter out the results you are looking for. It is recommended that you use the “Book Title” filter plus another filter, such as chapter, objective, or page location. Grade and subject are not needed when using the Book Title.

Instructional resources can be easily removed from a teacher's account by visiting "Collection History" in the Content Library tab.

All annual Trove Site License for Teacher accounts are auto renewed, meaning the Trove account will roll over annually. The school will be invoiced on or around August 1 for the site license renewal for the coming year, and all teacher accounts will roll over (keeping all data, contents, etc.). If a site license invoice is not paid within the communicated time frame, the school’s Trove account will be deactivated and all user accounts deleted. Any site license cancelations should be communicated in writing to BJU Press Customer Service at [email protected] . Annual site license fees are not pro-rated.

Multiple reports are available to teachers so they can easily and quickly see how their students are performing on assessments.  Reports are downloadable and printable.

The homepage serves as the dashboard from which teachers can easily navigate to the various features, functions, and resources within Trove.

Assessments can be created completely from scratch using the 19 available question types.

Using the free BJU Press Trove iOS, Android, and desktop apps, teachers and students can access eTexts offline (without internet connection). In addition, students can use the apps to view resources and complete digital assessments (internet connection required for assessments). The iOS and Android mobile apps are available for teacher and student access (click icons below for additional information). Desktop apps are also available. A desktop app for Windows users can be downloaded below. A desktop app for Mac users is available on the app store. Desktop App: Click to download the zip folder. Open and extract the zip folder. Double click on “Run this Setup file” and then click to run. The file should download as an application directly to the desktop.

Closing out a school year in Trove just takes a few simple steps. There are several options for what schools can do in Trove and when it is done, so it is recommended that Trove administrators carefully read through the complete documentation first to determine which functions and what timing works best for their school. MANUALLY ROSTERED SCHOOLS [NOTE: These features and functions apply to schools who have manually rostered their classes, teachers, and students, meaning they entered that information individually or through a bulk upload into Trove. These schools do not have a Trove integration.] End School Session Feature This feature allows Trove administrators to delete existing data and assigned content for a school year. This includes assessments, eTexts, eAssessments, notifications, responses, evaluations, and groups. Once completed, this data cannot be restored.
