Christian Classroom Online in Trove is a flexible virtual learning solution for expanding courses or filling teacher gaps.  Pre-recorded lessons provide flexible learning with a biblical worldview.  Students learn from experienced instructors and complete digital assessments while a school facilitator supports, tutors, and monitors progress.  (Not familiar with CCO?  Learn more here!)

What is provided:

  • Digital textbooks, worktexts, and online testing

  • Approximately 180 video lessons per course

What is needed:

  • A class facilitator from your school to oversee the class, do grading where needed, and assist students

  • Online course enrollment purchase for each student in the course

  • NOTE: Printed course materials are required for early childhood courses. Some course materials (such as printed copies) are optional for courses.

Christian Classroom Online Overview:

Christian Classroom Online Checklist Overview:

  1. Purchase online course enrollments for each student in the course.  Access the order form here.  Enrollments are available in the school’s Trove administrator account within 1 hour.

  2. Select a class facilitator from your school.

  3. Roster the class, teacher/facilitator, and students in Trove. (Note: Rostering should be completed in this order: class, teacher, students.  The teacher/facilitator must be rostered by the school’s Trove administrator.)

  4. Distribute the online course enrollments from the Trove administrator account to the teacher/facilitator and then from the teacher/facilitator to the student(s).  It is recommended that the administrator also distribute the teacher resource collection for that class to the teacher/facilitator as well, giving the teacher/facilitator access to the individual instructional resources, facilitator packets, etc.

  5. Engage with the online course.

    • Students access daily lessons and complete assessments in Trove.  All materials and assessments are included with each lesson; facilitators do not need to distribute assessments separately.

    • Facilitators access, grade, and monitor assessments in Trove.

Previous Edvance360 user?  Here are a few tips as you transition to online courses in Trove:

  • Assessments are conveniently built into the corresponding lessons, meaning they do not need to be pushed out separately to students.

  • When a student opens an assessment (even if it is not submitted), that assessment will become visible in the Manage Evaluations section in the Facilitator (teacher) account, letting the Facilitator know that assessment has been accessed.

  • Grades are recorded in Trove and can be accessed under Reports.  These grades can then be easily exported from Trove and imported into whichever gradebook platform your school uses.

  • Students receive all lessons as part of the course.  Facilitators should communicate any class-specific changes to the students (e.g., changes to activities, skipping lessons, etc.).  Trove records what a student does - and does not penalize if lessons are skipped.  Again, that direction is left to the facilitator.

  • Trove supports admin, teacher, and student roles.  Facilitators are considered teachers in Trove.  Trove does not have a separate parent role.
